Oceano

The oceans cover 70% of the earth's surface and host over 90% of the biosphere. Yet our narrative of history and geography is solidly anchored in the earth and its metaphors. Considering the point of view of the ocean instead of that of the land brings out new perspectives, which offer new interpretations and destabilize our anthropocentric beliefs.

This original and surprising book takes us through stories of sailors and mermaids, of slavery and globalization, of mythical heroes and modern poets, redesigning narratives that we thought we knew and forcing us to consider our relationship with nature and the environment differently.
