Scott Slovic is a Senior Scientist at the Oregon Research Institute and Distinguished Professor of Environmental Humanities Emeritus at the University of Idaho, USA. He served as founding president of the Association for the Study of Literature and Environment in the 1990s and from 1995 to 2025 was Editor-in-Chief of ISLE: Interdisciplinary Studies in Literature and Environment. The author, editor, or co-editor of more than thirty books, his recent co-edited publications include Nature and Literary Studies (Cambridge University Press, 2022) and The Bloomsbury Handbook to the Medical-Environmental Humanities (Bloomsbury Academic, 2022).
