Marco Belpoliti, essayist and writer, teaches at the University of Bergamo, contributes to La Repubblica and is co-editor of the Riga series (Quodlibet) and the online magazine doppiozero.com.

He has published numerous books, including Pianura (Einaudi), which won the Comisso Prize and the Dessì Prize; he edited the complete works of Primo Levi for Einaudi.

Marco Belpoliti wrote the preface to Federico Luisetti's Essere Pietra for wetlands.
