Federico Luisetti is Professor of Italian Studies and Environmental Humanities at the University of St. Gallen, Switzerland.
He taught Italian Studies and Comparative Literature at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill, where he is professor emeritus. He has been a visiting professor at Kyoto University and has given lectures and seminars in Africa, Asia, Europe, North and South America.
As a philosopher and cultural theorist, he has devoted monographs and essays to the artistic avant-garde, biopolitics, decolonial thought, and the ecological crisis.
