Synopsis:
A heatwave strikes Paris. In the stifling night, the author's life is upended by the effects of the climate crisis. All his points of reference shatter. To escape the heat, the dizziness, and the questions, he tries to flee, to isolate himself. Destination: the idyllic island of Porquerolles and its crystal-clear waters. But even there, reality offers no escape. In this auto-ethnographic inquiry, the author examines our new climatic condition based on his experiences, encounters, and thoughts over a few days. Logbook of an imaginary journey to the boundaries of the Anthropocene, this narrative takes us from Paris to Porquerolles, from the heatwave to the disappearance of an island, from the struggle for sleep to the fight for territory.
