Andrea Semplici is a writer, journalist and photographer. Born in Florence, he has lived in Matera for a few years.
He is the author of several travel guides and narratives, including:
Traveling Travellers; Diary of Africa; Ernesto Guevara's untied amphibians; Dancalia, walking on the bottom of a disappeared sea; The island far from the sea; Traveling with Kapuscinski, all published by Terre di mezzo and The lost revolution of poets (2019, Ed. Polaris).
For wetlands he wrote MaterVenezia (2024).
